Rotors (e.g. I II III)

Choose three rotors. Order matters: left-to-right corresponds to rotor 1 (fast) to rotor 3 (slow).

Ring (A A A)

Ring settings offset the rotor wiring relative to the alphabet; they are static during encryption.

Start (A A A)

Start positions set the initial rotor positions; rotors advance as you encode characters.

Plugboard pairs (e.g. A-Z G-M)

Plugboard swaps letter pairs before and after the rotor mechanism; it greatly increases keyspace.
